We pride ourselves on being a diverse community, including linguistically, but also want to make sure to support all students in English acquisition. We offer extensive EAL support in the Elementary, Middle and High Schools through Grade 10.

A community of diverse learners is at the core of our identity. We offer learning support to many students within the context of the classroom. And for those in Grades 1–4 who need more or have more specific support requirements, we offer our Extended Services Program: Student Support.

We take wellness, health, and safety very seriously as we are at our best when we are well-cared for, healthy, and safe: Wellness, Health, and Safety.

We have a pro-activity ethos and also take immense precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy: Our Response to Pollution.

Families live all over New Delhi and Gurugram. We offer bus services with three convenient end-of-day school departure times so as to accommodate our robust after-school activities schedule. About ⅓ of our students use our bus service: Transportation.

The school year is divided between two academic semesters. We have four middle school seasons of sports and three high school seasons of sports—the second season straddling the end of the first and beginning of the second academic semester. We have fall, winter, and spring breaks, with the winter break as the divider between the two semesters. We also honor many national and American holidays, including Thanksgiving: School Calendar.

School hours are the same for every division.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 am to 3:35 pm.

Wednesdays: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (early release): Calendar.

Both middle and high school athletes have the opportunity to compete at other international schools. High school teams are a part of the the Middle East South Asia Conference (MESAC) which spans three seasons and includes schools in UAE, Qatar, and Oman. Middle school teams are a part of the American Schools in India Activities Conference (ASIAC) which spans four seasons and includes the American International School of Chennai (AISC) and the American School of Bombay (ASB): Athletics and Activities.

There are after school activities for every division; the Elementary School sponsors iPOP (individual Power of Passion), the Middle School has ASA’s, and the High School’s after-school options include a variety of teams, fine and performing art groups, and clubs: Athletics and Activities.

Students always have the option to bring lunch from home but many of our elementary and middle school students participate in our lunch program. High school students also have a variety of cash-less, a la carte food options.

Our statement of belonging is central to who we are; above all, we want our students and their families to feel like they have found a home at AES. We do a lot to help facilitate this from supporting and engaging a very active PSA (Parent School Association) to making sure each new student has a buddy to advising and counseling in all divisions. 

Campus is a lush garden, with high arching trees, colorful flowers, rocky outcrops, and winding footpaths. And nestled among all of this beauty is a network of top notch academic, arts, and sports facilities: Campus Photos. Campus serves our students, their parents, faculty, and staff. As a center of learning, arts, and sports, campus is a busy place way beyond the academic day. From weekend games to theater shows to melas to adult education classes, there is always something happening.
